The Bombing of Guernica occured on April 26, 1937. 100,000 pounds of explosives were used during this bombing. This was during the Spanish Civil War that went on through 1936-1939. The Second Spanish Republic was defeated by conservative and traditionalist forces in Spain in the Spanish Civil War. Many people were killed during this bombing.
1. Sanjurjo collaborated with Franco to bomb Guernica.
2. Fernando probably think Rosario died because there was a bomb there, and many others died in this event.
3. When Picasso paintin this, he was probably feeling depressed, and he was thinking about all the deaths that happened during the bombing.
